WVU Parkersburg Theatre Department to hold auditions for upcoming production.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will hold auditions for “The Complete History of America (abridged)” at 7 p.m., Tuesday, (May 30) in the College Theatre.

The play, written by two of the three authors who created “The Complete Wrks of Wllm Shakspr (abridged)” is a crazy comedy that presents the entire history of the United States in less than two hours. Filled with inaccuracies and mistakes, the play provides wonderful opportunities for three actors to display their talents.

Auditionees will be asked to present a two-minute, learned comedic monologue and may be asked to read from the script. Performances will be the weekend of July 7. The play contains "mature" material and auditionees should be at least 16 years old.
