Students attend state reading association's leadership seminar

Two WVU Parkersburg students represent college at state reading association's leadership seminar.

Two West Virginia University at Parkersburg students represented the college at the 27th annual statewide West Virginia Reading Association Leadership Seminar held in Morgantown.

Officers in the college's Reading Association, Amanda (Mitchell) Jones who serves as president, and Chasity Rice who is association secretary, met with reading professionals and other representatives of colleges and universities that have established partnerships with WVRA and local reading councils.

The major emphasis of the seminar was to coordinate initiatives at the local, state, and national levels of the International Reading Association. Conferees met to set goals, to study current issues in reading, to share successes, and to explore solutions to common problems.
