WVU Parkersburg students to conduct food drive

WVU Parkersburg students to conduct food drive Nov. 15, 2006, for Old Man Rivers charity.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg's Student Government Association will conduct a food drive Wednesday, Nov. 15, on campus.

The 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. drive will be held in front of the college's multi-purpose room. Proceeds will benefit the local Old Man Rivers charity.

"We hope to have the participation of our student body as well as area residents," noted Christina Clancy, vice president of SGA. "This is a way we can give back to the community and show our college's commitment to our hometown."

Last year the students collected more than three carloads of food for Old Man Rivers.

Student Government is holding the food drive in conjunction with Results Radio.
