Macbeth? Hamlet? Lear? Otello? R & J? All in one night? Insanity, you say? But you’ll see all the works of “The Bard” in a single evening when West Virginia University at Parkersburg's Theatre Department presents "The Compleat Works of Wllm Shakspr (abridged)," on Feb. 24-26.

Curtain time is 8 p.m., Feb 24 and 25 and 2 p.m., Feb. 26 in the college's multi-purpose room. Admission is free. Written by the Reduced Shakespeare Company, the production features three cast members: students Brandi Wolfe, Dallas Zickefoose, and Chad Goode.

"For those whose only familiarity with Shakespeare is the distant memory of a high school English class, the evening of hilarity makes these classics easily accessible as rap, football, and cooking shows are featured to update the works," noted Carson Soelberg, director. "Those with a stronger Shakespearean background will catch even more of the many inside jokes and see 'The Bard' in an entirely different light," he added.
