WVU Parkersburg to host Criminal Justice Educators Association's annual conference.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEWest Virginia University at Parkersburg will host the ninth annual West Virginia Criminal Justice Educators Association's Conference Nov. 11-12.
Theme of the conference is "The Web of Criminal Justice." The two-day conference will feature panel presentations, a job fair with local police departments, and a mock crime scene enactment.
College faculty and students and practitioners from throughout the state are expected to attend the conference, noted Nelson Ortiz, WVU Parkersburg Criminal Justice Department coordinator.
On Friday, Nov. 11, the job fair will open at 4 p.m. in the college's multi-purpose room. In addition, a mock crime scene will be enacted in the field behind the cafeteria from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Various organizations will be involved in the crime scene including the Wood County Sheriff Department, Wood County Detective Bureau, Wood Communication System, Wood County Emergency Services, Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department, Vienna Fire Department, Fire Investigation Team, Wood County Coroner, and Double K Blood Hound.
The mock crime scene is open to the public.
On Saturday, Nov. 12, the session will open at 9:30 a.m. and panel presentations will be held throughout the morning and afternoon. Winners of a student competition for presentations and posters will be announced at 3:30 p.m.
