Student Nurses Association sponsors organ transplant awareness session April 11.

In observance of Organ Transplant Awareness Week (April 10-17), West Virginia University at Parkersburg's Student Nurses Association is sponsoring an organ transplant awareness session at 1 p.m., Monday (April 11) in the college's multi-purpose room. 

The free session will feature guest speakers Marge Knight, director of emergency and trauma services at St. Joseph's Hospital, and Lynn Traxler, Lifeline of Ohio Organ Procurement (LOOP) hospital relations representative.

Open to the public, the session is designed to promote organ donation awareness and encourage area residents to become donors.
