West Virginia University at Parkersburg will host a free concert by the Martin Luther King Jr. Male Chorus at 7 p.m., Thursday (Jan. 20), in the college's multipurpose room.

The event is open to the public and sponsored by the college social justice committee in honor of the Martin Luther King Day holiday.

The chorus was formed in 1996 to participate in the celebration of King's birthday.   Based in Charleston, it is directed by Leroy Robinson.  The ensemble is comprised of ministers and lay leaders from various church denominations in the Charleston area.

 WVU Parkersburg will be closed Monday (Jan. 17) in observance of the King holiday.  Additional information about the concert is available by contacting Debbie Richards at the college, 424-8201.
