Mock crime scene investigation to be conducted Friday (Nov. 11) at WVU Parkersburg.

Students in West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Criminal Justice program will conduct a mock crime scene "investigation" on Friday (Nov. 11).

The crime scene will be enacted in the field behind the college cafeteria from 4 to 6:30 p.m. 

Various law enforcement and emergency services’ organizations will be involved in the crime scene including the Wood County Sheriff Department, Wood County Detective Bureau, Wood County Communications System, Wood County Emergency Services, Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department, Vienna Fire Department, Fire Investigation Team, Wood County Coroner, and Double K Blood Hound.

The “investigation” is open to the public.  Additional information is available by contacting Nelson Ortiz, criminal justice instructor, 424-8253.  It is being held in conjunction with the annual conference of the West Virginia Criminal Justice Educators Association this weekend at WVU Parkersburg.
