Class in marketing non-profit organizations being offered

WVU Parkersburg offers class in marketing basics for non-profit organizations.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will present a Marketing Basics for Non-Profits class on Friday, August 26.

The non-credit class is designed to help those who promote non-profit organizations and agencies on a shoestring budget. It will be held in the college's Center for Corporate and Community Education, formerly the BIDS center.

The 9 a.m. to noon session will cover writing of press releases, public service announcements, community promotions, and free or inexpensive ways to market. The afternoon class from 1-4 p.m. will focus on branding of an agency, and creating a lasting, memorable personality and positioning statement.

Cost is $55 per person for each session or $100 for the entire day. Advanced registration is requested by Tuesday, August 23 and may be accomplished by calling Becky Ash at the college's Center for Corporate and Community Education, 424-8275. More information is available at www.charitymatch.org.
