West Virginia University at Parkersburg is offering a class this fall designed for area residents who need assistance in learning English as their second language.
The three-credit-hour class, English As a Second Language, will meet from 7 to 9:45 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning August 23. Instructor is Marcia Ramsey. The course is for non-native speakers and will address students' individual language needs in the areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students should have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
