WVU Parkersburg recognizes faculty and staff with employee recognition breakfast.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg recognized service and accomplishments, saluted eight retirees and presented awards at its annual Employee Recognition Breakfast Wednesday (May 4).

WVU Parkersburg President Marie Foster Gnage presided over the breakfast which continued her presidential inauguration theme, "One Moment in Time."

Receiving service awards were:  Five Years - Glen Alleman, Charles Almond, Tina Buchanan, Lauriel Edwards, Calvin Lott, Marilyn Love, Vincent Plummer, Rebecca Scarberry, Leslie Sims, Michelle Wilson and Vickie Yencha.  Ten Years - Rebecca Ash, Jane King and Cheryl Robinson.  Fifteen Years - Larry Keaton, Alita Sellers and Vicky Stilgenbauer.  Twenty Years - Cheryl Bedell, Violet Mosser, Robert VanCamp and Tom Yencha.  Twenty-Five Years.  Sherron Barnette and Ernie Grady.  Thirty Years - Margaret Bailey, Leslie Bennett, Paul Bibbee, Robert Caim, Stan Coberly, Thomas Dinnin, Allan Edwards, Phil McClung, Lennie Moore, H.G. Young, and Debbie Richards.  Forty Years - Ron Atkinson.

Receiving recognition for their contributions to the college were the 2005 retirees who include Dorothy Cox, associate professor of psychology and sociology; Dick Cutshaw, campus service worker lead; Suzanne Dietz, associate professor of chemistry; Andy Grimm, professor of engineering; George Lamb, professor of history; Jim Linger, professor of industrial mechanics; Larry Robinson, associate professor of social sciences, and Wazir Sultany, associate professor of electronics.

Staff Council's Employee of the Year award was presented to Charlene McNulty, student health nurse.  The Student Government Association named its Staff and Faculty of the Year winners:  Janice McCue, Learning Center director, and Gregg Busch, instructor of sociology, respectively.  The college's academic division chairs recognized Theresa Cross, application software specialist, and Janice McCue.  Also, President Gnage congratulated faculty members Dottie and Paul Bibbee for their continued success in working with the college's Phi Theta Kappa chapter which consistently garners regional and international honors.
