FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Enrollment is strong for summer classes at West Virginia University at Parkersburg as students are taking advantage of a variety of courses being offered on line and on campus.
To date, close to 1,000 students are registered for summer classes which are being offered in an eight-week term and two four-week sessions. Last year 1,013 students earned college credit in WVU Parkersburg summer courses. Many area students who are home from other college campuses take WVU Parkersburg’s summer courses and transfer them to their institutions.
Registration is currently open for all summer sessions. The eight-week and first four-week sessions begin June 7. Eight-week classes conclude July 30; final exams for the first four-week term are July 2. The second four-week session begins July 6 and ends July 30.
The summer schedule of classes — including traditional classroom, electronic and alternative delivery courses — is on line at the college’s web site (www.wvup.edu). Printed copies are available at the college’s Information Desk and Records Office.
