WVU Parkersburg Humanities Division sponsors spring reading by OU
author/professor.

An author and Ohio University professor will present a spring reading Tuesday, April 13 at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
The free reading at 7:30 p.m. will feature Joan Connor, OU associate professor in fiction writing. She is the author of three collections of fiction. Open to the public, the reading will be held in Room 1305 and is sponsored by WVU Parkersburg's Humanities Speakers Series.
Ms. Connor teaches at both the graduate and undergraduate levels at OU. She holds a master's degree of fine arts in creative writing from Vermont College. She also teaches in the Stonecoast MFA in Creative Writing Program sponsored by the University of Southern Maine. Ms. Connor is the author of three collections of fiction: "We Who Live Apart," "Here on Old Route 7," and "History Lessons." She is a contributor to "Glimmer Train: The Southern Review," "The Journal," "Arts and Letters," TriQuarterly," "The Gettysburg Review," "The Kenyon Review," "Chelsea Magazine," "Manoa," and "Shenandoah," and others. She is a recipient of an Ohio Arts Council grant and a winner of an Ohio Writer award as well as the John Gilgun award.
A reception will follow the reading.
