Moliere's hilarious farce explores issues of sexual politics and a woman's right to determine her own identity. The play is full of disguise, mistaken identity, confusion and brilliantly crafted comic characters. In this contemporary translation, the 17th Century language of Moliere has been skillfully altered to downplay the verse and the archaic wording. The translation is accessible to both actor and audience member.
Production dates for The School for Wives are April 23rd and 24th at 8:00 p.m. and April 25th at 2:00 p.m. Copies of the script are available for over-night checkout from the campus library.
