West Virginia University at Parkersburg is offering several free orientation sessions this summer for students who will be new to the college for the fall semester.
Students may choose from two sessions scheduled from 1 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, and 6 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 4 at the college. Also, orientation is set at the college's Jackson County Center in two sessions at 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 5.
"Orientation gives us the chance to share important information to make students' freshmen year a success," noted Violet Mosser, admissions counselor. Parents and spouses are welcome to attend as well, she added.
During the sessions,
a faculty and student panel will be available to answer questions. Helpful information will be shared to orient students to the college and to college in general. The bookstore will be open for students taking classes on the Parkersburg campus to purchase their textbooks and student IDs will be available.Advanced registration is requested and may be accomplished by
contacting the college's Admissions Office at 424-8220 or the JCC office at
372-6992.
