Unveiling of Campus Courtyard Mountaineer

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will unveil its new campus mountaineer in a ceremony at 12:30 p.m., Thursday (Oct. 28) in the college's courtyard.

The mountaineer, a wooden statue carved by local artist Dave Ferguson, is part of a campus courtyard beautification project spearheaded by students at the college and funded by a grant from the Bernard McDonough Foundation.   To be honored during the ceremony will be the students involved in the project; Ferguson, and Mark Kury of the McDonough Foundation.
