WVU Parkersburg holiday closing, telecommunications outage notice.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 2 for the holidays.  Campus offices will reopen at 8 a.m., Jan. 3; spring registration will resume then as well.  Semester classes begin Jan. 10.

On Wednesday, Dec. 29, the college's phone system is expected to be out of service while technicians process software and hardware upgrades.  During the upgrade, there will be no campus telecommunications capabilities, including the availability of leaving voice mail messages at the main college switchboard or campus extensions.

The telecommunications upgrade is being done during the holiday break when the college is closed to keep disruption to a minimum.
