A public forum featuring candidates for Wood County Sheriff will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 16, at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

Sponsored by the college's Criminal Justice Organization, the forum is free and open to the public.  It will be held in the multi-purpose room.

Serving as moderator will be Roger Sheppard, WTAP station manager and vice president.  The forum panel will include Ron Atkinson, chair of the college's Social Sciences Division, and Lew Rutherford, professor of speech.  The candidates will respond to questions from the panel followed by a public question and answer session.
