WVU Parkersburg faculty to present at international education conference in Hawaii

Two faculty from the Education Division at West Virginia University at Parkersburg will present a professional paper at the third annual Hawaii International Conference on Education in Honolulu.
Cindy Gissy, associate professor of education, and Cindy Kelley, chair of the Education Division and professor of education, have been selected to present "Mentoring the Mentor: Training Mentor Teachers in Professional Development Schools" at the Hawaiian conference Jan. 4-7, 2005.
Goal of the four-day conference is to provide an opportunity for academicians and professionals from various education-related fields around the world to come together and learn from each other. The conference also provides a place for professionals with cross-discipline interests related to education to meet and interact with other professionals outside their particular interests.
Last year's conference was attended by more than 1,000 participants representing more than 40 countries.
WVU Parkersburg offers a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education and an associate degree in early childhood education.
