WVU Parkersburg announces partnership to offer training programs to local companies.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg is partnering with Development Dimensions International (DDI) to provide its leadership, workforce and customer service training programs to Mid-Ohio Valley companies and businesses.          

The collaboration with DDI, a human resource consulting firm specializing in leadership and management training programs, will provide the region’s business community with access to programs otherwise not readily available, noted college officials.

“This partnership allows the college to further contribute to the Mid-Ohio Valley’s business growth and success by providing the best training and development resources to area companies,” said David Bell, dean of the college’s Business, Industry and Development Services.

Through DDI, WVU Parkersburg will offer training in such topics as Coaching for Success, Coaching for Improvement, Resolving Conflict, Leading Change, Interaction Management Essentials (Principles), Fast Start for Teams, Leading Successful Meetings, and Service Plus (Delivering Excellent Customer Service).

WVU Parkersburg’s BIDS supports the professional, technical, economic development and training needs of area business through  programs, seminars, workshops, institutes, courses and consulting services designed to improve performance and outcomes for participating individuals and businesses.

DDI, with corporate headquarters in Bridgeville, Pa., has helped thousands of organizations enhance their business performance since 1970.  DDI’s two major areas of expertise include helping companies find and hire better people faster, and building leadership capacity and capability, enabling organizations to meet their current and emerging business needs.
