FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nine West Virginia University at Parkersburg faculty members have received promotions in rank and two have been awarded tenure, effective with the fall semester.
Receiving promotions are Charles Almond, from instructor to assistant professor of computer and information technology; Tina Buchanan, from instructor to assistant professor of welding; Robert Cordell, from associate professor to professor of social science; Cynthia Kelley, from associate professor to professor of education; Jane King, from instructor to assistant professor of biology and chemistry; Emily Lamb, from associate professor to professor of English and reading; Paul Milhoan, from instructor to assistant professor of manufacturing technology; Rebecca Phillips, from associate professor to professor of English, and Matthew Rhoades, from instructor to assistant professor of history.
Tenure, a special status awarded by an institution following a term of service, is awarded to Cheryl Brumfield, assistant professor of nursing, and Suzanne Dietz, associate professor of chemistry.
