WVU Parkersburg Education Chair to Present Paper at National Conference.

The chairperson of West Virginia University at Parkersburg's Education Division will make a presentation at a national teacher education conference this week.

Cindy Kelley, Education chair, will present her paper on Saturday (Jan. 25) at the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education's annual conference in New Orleans. 

Mrs. Kelley’s paper is entitled, “From Paper to PowerPoint:  Alternative Ways to Assess Learning.”   It explores and describes the use of electronic portfolios to monitor student progress and performance in the college's Education program. 

The paper is part of an AACTE symposium titled “New Knowledge about Teaching and Learning through Policy and Technology.”    Mrs. Kelley's presentation was chosen as one of approximately 250 selected from more than 640 submissions to be included as part of the 55th annual national meeting which will be in session through Monday (Jan. 27).
