FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Virginia University at Parkersburg is offering a free
"Control Central" evening on Tuesday (Nov. 18) to assist area residents in
enrolling for spring semester classes.
Beginning at 5 p.m. in Room 2534, "Control Central" will provide students with the one-stop convenience of completing processes from admissions and financial aid to advising and registering for classes.
"This is designed to make it easy for students to take control of their college plans," explained Dotty Muir, dean of students. "We will have stations set up so that they can complete most if not all enrollment processes in one evening."
Participants will be able to fill out admission forms, take placement testing, receive academic/career advising, begin the financial aid process, tour the campus and register for classes.
Advanced registration for the evening is requested and may be accomplished by calling the Student Services office at 424-8209. Also, free childcare services will be available for children, ages 3-7 and potty trained.
Spring classes begin Monday, Jan. 12, 2004.
