From handmade dulcimers to homemade maple syrup, the 15th annual American Sampler offers an opportunity to enjoy the rich and varied culture of the region.
Nearly 40 area crafters will be participating in the Sampler to be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-15, at West Virginia University at Parkersburg. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
The Sampler will be held in the college's multi-purpose room. There is no admission fee and crafts will be available for purchase. Among crafts being featured will be handmade jewelry, baskets, stained glass, soaps, candles, wood crafts, and floral arrangements as well as a white elephant sale and a raffle of donated craft items. Refreshments will also be available.
Proceeds benefit Staff Council's scholarship fund. Additional information is available by contacting Donna Uhl, Sampler coordinator, at the college, 424-8260.
