FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Comedians Todd McCune and Marty Putz (yes; that is his real name) will appear Friday (Sept. 20) at the Backdoor Comedy Club at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; showtime is 8 in the college’s multi-purpose room.
McCune’s
observational comments on men, women and everyday life are easy going at a fun
pace. The Ohio native has flexed his comedy muscles at comedy clubs and
colleges throughout the United States and offers a hilarious spin on the world
in general.
Putz is one of the hottest and most popular exponents of bizarre and
unusual
comedy. Taking the label "prop comic" to new heights, he entertains his
audiences with some of his "inventions," including a game of human baseball
where he dons a six-foot baseball glove on his head and audience members throw
marshmallows at him and a bit with a giant inflatable "Elvis" suit.
Tickets are $2 in advance and $4 at the door. Tickets may be purchased in the college’s business office.
The comedy club is sponsored by WVU Parkersburg’s Student Activities Department. Additional information is available by contacting Tom Yencha, student activities director, at 424-8309.
