A WVU Parkersburg faculty member has been named the 2002 Developmental Educator of the Year by a state association.

Stan Coberly, professor of English, won the state's Developmental Educator of the Year award at  the annual conference of the West Virginia Association for Developmental Education.

Coberly, who also serves as director of the college's Academic Advising Center, was honored at the WVADE conference held in Huntington on Nov. 1-2.  He has been a member of the college's Humanities Division since 1975.
