The College Chorale of West Virginia University at Parkersburg will present "Carols and Customs: Sounds of the Season" on Saturday, December 14, at the First Lutheran Church, Parkersburg.

The free 8 p.m. concert will feature holiday Ukrainian, Celtic and African-American traditional music, including "Carol of the Bells," "Wexford Carol" and "Go Tell It On the Mountain, sung in original languages.

Under the direction of Music Professor H.G. Young III, the ensemble will also perform medieval chants and polyphony in celebration of the legends of St. Nicholas. Music instructor Marjorie Hamperian will accompany the Chorale as well as be featured in selections of French organ music. The concert will conclude with a carol sing.
