Film on Growing Power of Religious Fundamentalism To Be Shown
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Social Sciences Division will host the public showing of the 1999 video "God Fights Back" at 7 p.m., Tuesday (Nov. 13) in Room 2536-38.
The film describes the growing power of religious fundamentalism in various parts of the world. It includes the fall of the Shah of Iran and the rise of Islamic fundamentalism in Iran and other Islamic countries, as well as the Christian right in the United States.
The 60-minute presentation is free and open to the public. A discussion period will follow. Additional information is available by contacting Robert Cordell, associate professor of social science, 424-8270.
