JCC Plans Birthday Open House

An open house will be held Thursday (Oct. 4) at the Jackson County Center in observance of West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s 40^th birthday.

The open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. in the JCC lobby; the public is invited to stop by, JCC Director Pamela Braden, said. Refreshments will be provided.

WVU Parkersburg was established in 1961 as the Parkersburg Branch of West Virginia University. Its name has changed several times as the institution has evolved. In 1989 it became WVU at Parkersburg. JCC was established in 1974.
