Chorale Performs May 11th Concert

The College Chorale of West Virginia University at Parkersburg will present a concert of sacred and secular choral music on Friday (May 11) at the Broadway Church of the Nazarene on Broadway Avenue.
The 7:30 p.m. concert will feature music ranging from Mozart of minimalism.
The Chorale will also present "A Musical Message for Mother’s Day" on Sunday ((May 13) at 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church on Juliana Street.
Joining the Chorale will be tenor soloist Ryan Smith, a native of Los Angeles and graduate student at Ohio University. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta where he was soloist with the Morehouse Glee Club on its nationally televised Christmas concerts and with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.Under the direction of Music Professor H.G. Young III, the Chorale is a select chamber choir which performs a variety of choral music of all styles and genres. Marjorie Hamperian serves as the ensemble's accompanist.
Both performances are free and open to the public.
