WVU Parkersburg's Backdoor Comedy Club Features Adam Ace.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The outlandish comedy of Adam Ace will be featured Friday, Nov. 9, at West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Backdoor Comedy Club.
Showtime is 8 p.m. in the multi-purpose room; doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Ace mixes comedy, music, costumes, props, dancing and lots of audience participation together for a fast paced rock concert-like atmosphere. The L.A. Weekly said "Adam Ace is a punkish goofball that engages the audience in loony games."
Joining Ace will be the comedy- and object-flying Gentlemen Jugglers. The troupe juggles comedy, knives, fire and pins, often while riding seven and ten foot unicycles. The Jugglers have been featured as NBA half-time entertainment and have opened for such acts as The Temptations and Davie Copperfield.
Tickets are available in the college business office and will be sold at the door. They are $2 in advance for WVU Parkersburg students, staff and faculty and $4 for the general public. All tickets at the door are $4.
The comedy club is sponsored by WVU Parkersburg’s Student Government/Activities. Additional information is available from Tom Yencha, director of student activities, 424-8309.
