A college honorary at West Virginia University at Parkersburg is observing "Water Week" this week (Nov. 13-17).
The Sigma Omega chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is sponsoring the week as part of its honors topic: "In the Midst of Water: Origin and Destiny of Life."
Featured will be on-campus lectures and activities. PBL students will host water activities on Tuesday (Nov. 14) for the campus day-care center from 9 to 11 a.m. in the student lounge.
Representatives from Culligan Water Co. will test water samples at no cost from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday (Nov. 15) outside the college multi-purpose room. The College Chorale will perform water songs in front of the president’s office at 1:45 p.m., Thursday (Nov. 16).
The week will conclude Friday (Nov. 17) with a discussion regarding the North Fork Hughes River Watershed Project by Delmas Carr, district conservationist, at noon, Friday (Nov. 17) in Room 1305.
