College Sponsors Foreign Film
Series

News Release
West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Humanities Division is sponsoring a free foreign language film series that begins Feb. 4.
Yves Robert’s "La Gloire de mon Pere" ("My Father’s Glory"), will be shown at 7 p.m., Feb. 4 in Room C102 in the Caperton Center for Applied Technology on the WVU Parkersburg campus.
The film is about 11-year old Marcel Pagnol’s treasured childhood in the south of France at the turn of the century. The film, told by Marcel as an adult, is a loving tribute to his adoring and gentle father. An excellent family film, the movie is in French with English subtitles.
The showing is free and open to the public. Due to limited seating, free tickets are required and may be picked up at the college’s Humanities Division Office (Room 1214) between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
An audience discussion, led by R.A. Oldaker, assistant professor of German and English, will follow the film.
