West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Surgical Technology Certificate program is being awarded national accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs in Chicago.

A peer review conducted by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education in Surgical Technology and the CAAHEP board of directors recognized the program’s compliance with accreditation standards established by CAAHEP, the American College of Surgeons and The Association of Surgical Technologists.

WVU Parkersburg’s Surgical Technology Certificate program prepares students to function as surgical team members under the supervision of registered professional nurses or licensed physicians.
