WVU Parkersburg's cafeteria to undergo $329,000 major renovation
Board of Governors approves renovation project to include a coffee bar, food court, and restaurant style design.

WVU Parkersburg to host Appalachian Heritage Day Nov. 10, 2009
A day to celebrate the people, culture and history of the Mid-Ohio Valley will be held.

Author of "The Journey of the Lost Boys" to tell their story in Nov. 16th presentation
Joan Hecht, author of  the award-winning "The Journey of the Lost Boys," will tell their story along with one of the "Lost Boys," Atem Da'Hajhock, in a presentation at 11 a.m., Nov. 16,  in the college theatre. 

Workforce and Community Education Division offering a series of courses related to industrial safety training
The courses involve Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) training.  

WVU Parkersburg to host "Removin' the Confusion of Gospel Music" workshop
In partnership with West Virginia University at Parkersburg, the Voices of Triumph Gospel Community Choir (Voices) of the Mid-Ohio Valley is sponsoring a workshop, "Removin' the Confusion of Gospel Music."  The session is designed to help remove the veil of confusion about Gospel music as well as nurture workshop participants' spirituality.

21st annual American Sampler will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17
Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the college's multi-purpose room. 

Author of "Witness at Hawks Nest," to discuss his book
Dr. Dwight Harshbarger will also sign copies of his book at the 9 a.m. program which  is free and open to the public.

WVU Parkersburg is recipient of $250,000 in federal stimulus funds for Caperton Center HVAC project
The funds are part of the U.S. Department of Energy's State Energy Program under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
