Appalachian poet E.L.P. Hadaway will read from her work Wednesday, Jan. 31, at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
The free reading, to be held in Room 2203 from 7 to 8:15 p.m., will be followed by a discussion of the topic, "Poetry and Gender."
An adjunct faculty member at WVU Parkersburg, Ms. Hadaway holds master’s degrees in creative writing, English and theological studies and was a Wallace Stevens Fellow in poetry at Stanford University in 1996-98.
The reading is co-sponsored by the college’s Humanities Division Speakers Series and the English Department’s Topics in Women Literature class. It is open to the public.
