Certificate in Surgical Technology The Certificate in Surgical Technology Program at West Virginia University at Parkersburg is designed to guide qualified students through structured learning experiences in peri-operative settings to meet eligibility requirements for the Surgical Technology Certification Examination. Graduates of this program will be qualified to work in any general surgery inpatient or outpatient setting, including but not limited to, ambulatory care, surgical short stay, physician offices, and clinics. Clinical experiences are offered under faculty and mentor supervision at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Marietta Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Selby Hospital, and other selected community agencies.
