This Kilian Conlon Memorial Scholarship was endowed in 2002 by family, friends and co-workers of Kilian Conlon. Kilian died November 1, 2001 only weeks before he was to graduate from the WVU Parkersburg Welding Program. His memory lives on through the opportunity this scholarship provides to other welding and industrial maintenence students.

This scholarship is reserved for students residing in Wetzel, Tyler or contiguous counties who major in welding or industrial maintenance. Preference is given to students who are the first in their families to attend college. A student's high school grade point average or placement scores are not considered in awarding this scholarship. Financial need is consideration for this scholarship.
