SIMONTON WINDOWS PROFESSORSHIPS PROGRAM

The Simonton Windows Professorships Program is established to recognize and promote academic excellence at WVU at Parkersburg by encouraging retention of promising full-time faculty members.

Four Distinguished Professorship Grants are awarded each year.  The grant award can be up to $6,250.00 per recipient depending on the faculty member’s application and project and/or program they are undertaking.

Grants are not automatically renewed.  Faculty who have already received a Distinguished Professorship Grant must reapply for additional grants.

The grant can be used for professional development, such as, degree completion, advanced training, participation and/or attendance at professional conferences and course and program development at the college.

The professorship grant program has been designed to encourage and reward innovation and achievement which furthers the college’s mission.
