TOPIC DECISION/STATUS
|
Wellness Coordinator |
Ginger Straight will assume the part-time position of Wellness Coordinator for the summer. This position will be shared by Student and Academic Affairs. The position is designed to serve as half-time wellness coordinator and half-time nursing lab coordinator. |

Academic Advising |
Chris Kimes will be assuming the position as Interim Advising Director, as well as coordinate GUS and FYE activities. This is a one year position. |

Fall Orientation |
Freshman Orientation for fall semester will be held on July 31 and August 13, 2007, at 5:30 p.m. It will begin in the Multipurpose Room and it will be broken into sessions. A picnic will be held at the end of the program. The Testing and Advising Center will be open |

Student Services Retreat |
The Student Services Retreat will be held Friday, June 22, 2007, at the YWCA. It will begin at 9 a.m. and end at approximately 2 p.m. The following topics will be covered at the retreat: Strategic Plan Student Engagement Committee Orientation Committee Team building exercises Dotty asked that office coverage be secured for Records, Financial Aid and Advising Center.

DVD |
The recording of student/faculty has begun for the recruiting DVD. The committee is working with Morgantown to complete the exterior shots. Editing will be done in July and a target date for completion is August. |

Other |
Cecelia said that the Records Office move is on track and they are projected to be in the new space by the end of July. She also said that the imaging is going very well. |

Violet reported the first year of the College Transition course at four area high schools is complete. Two additional schools will be added next year. We will continue to stay involved with these students as they continue to take Edge classes the next two years of high school.
Augie reported that all HEAPS money has been distributed for summer and we could have used double the amount that we had available. All summer awards are complete and fall mailings should begin next week.
Tom reported that he is very busy working with agents for fall and spring activities.
Emmanuel noted that beginning in fall semester we will have an extern who will be here for one year from Germany.
Karen reported that Student Engagement activities for fall is nearing completion and the committee will begin working on spring activities at the next meeting. |
