TOPIC DECISION/STATUS

REG Rocks |
REG Rocks will be held on April 16, from 10:30-12:30. There will be placement testing, advising, tours, and student programming. Individual offices will need to be used for advising. Information for the event will be placed on the free cable station for Wood County Schools. |

Office Space |
Dotty asked that everyone initiate a clean up for individual office space. Records Office will be moving on May 21. Student Services will now be in charge of the ACT Center and will need to bring it up to a state-of-art space. |

College name and logo |
CREW members were notified that only the official school name was to be used in any type of correspondence or advertising. |

Long Distance |
Long distance service from some phone extensions on campus will be discontinued. |

Retreat |
The Student Services Retreat will be scheduled for after June 11. |

WVU Presidential Candidates |
Interviews are being conducted for the presidency at WVU. |

Super Saturday |
Super Saturday, an event to instruct students on how to use e-campus courses for the first time, will be held on May 5, from 8-12 a.m. Student Services will partner with Theresa Cross to host a program aimed at new students. This event will be held in the computer labs. Three instructors will be involved as well as advising and financial aid. First year experience grant dollars will pay for food and salaries. |

Revisions to next years catalog are due. |

Other |
Christine noted that a student picnic was held on April 4 at JCC. Tim will be going down next week to present a job search workshop.
Cecelia noted that the Records Office is preparing for the move the end of May. WV Net will begin handling our BANNER database. Our IT department now reports to WVNet. May graduates will be given admission tickets. When Multipurpose room is filled – remaining will be directed to the overflow rooms.
Chris said that May scholarship selection would be taking place at the end of May. He and Emmanuel visited West Liberty State College to get additional information on DVD creation. There will be no available Foundation dollars for the summer.
Emmanuel noted that on April 18 Washington County Career Center would be bringing twelve students here to visit. He will be at Belmont Tech on April 13. The DVD creation will begin next week.
The financial aid audit has been responded to and any problems have been corrected. They are in the process of awarding summer school financial aid. Heather is in the process of awarding HEAPS to eligible students.
Tim has been networking with technical schools and attended the job fair in Marietta, OH last week. The fair had over 175 employers present. New full-time and summer positions have been posted. He noted several AMERICORP positions available. Marshall University will hold an internship fair next week.
Drema noted that advising is going well.
Tom announced that a new and improved game show will be ready for next Wednesday.
Sandy noted that she had attended a non-traditional student workshop.
Karen announced that any handbook changes need to go to her and that the Student Engagement Committee will be meeting today to continue work on next years activities.
