TOPIC DECISION/STATUS
|
Staff ID |
All faculty and staff must have ID’s by January 1. The ID’s are to be worn at all times while on campus. Danita asked that all Student Services employees have their ID by November 1. |

Utilization of Space |
Danita will be attending a meeting today that will address office space issues. |

Dean of Students Move |
The Dean’s office is tentatively scheduled to move to the new office space on November 1. |

TV Monitor System |
Guidelines for the campus TV monitor system were distributed. All staff should review and be familiar with the guidelines. This is a tool that Student Services will begin to use in order better advertise student events and deadlines. |

Attendance at programs |
Danita asked that staff make every effort to attend campus events in the evenings and on weekends. WVU at Parkersburg committee’s work very hard to bring events to the campus and the campus community should take advantage as much as possible. |

WVCCA/WVADE |
Danita asked Student Services staff to give her the names of staff members that will be attending the WVCCA/WVADE meeting on November 14-16 at Pipestem State Park. Danita, Christine and Violet will be attending. Sandy is attending on November 14. |

Student Services Reorganization Discussion |
Danita distributed a copy of her proposal for the reorganization of Student Services. Proposed changes are: -Combine Advising, Testing, Orientation, and 1st Year Initiatives due to the close working relationship. -Enrollment Management will include Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, and Orientation, Advising, and Testing Services. -Student Affairs will include Student Involvement, Health Promotions and Recreational Activities, Disability Services, and Career Services. Danita stressed that this is a proposal and not a final realignment. She asked for comments and suggestions from the staff. |

Around the Table |
Danita reminded everyone that with flu season approaching that is very important that we wash hand and disinfect areas as much as possible
Make a Difference Day will be Saturday, October 26. The volunteer program will begin at the YWCA on Dudley Avenue at 10 a.m.
Sandy reported that Cathy is at a Disability Conference in Utah. Priority registration began today for ADA students.
Heather (attending for Augie) reported that an audit was conducted and there were no findings at this level. We may be added to a yearly audit rotation.
Karen distributed copies of the budget, student services name, address, and phone list.
Drema (attending for Chris) announced that ACT testing will be held on Saturday and advising begins on Monday.
Cecelia announced that the Records Office is prepared for registration on Monday.
Christine announced that JCC Heritage Days is being celebrated today and the Halloween Party will be held on Monday. |
