Staff Council Minutes
April 14, 2005
Present: Rodney Parker, Pat Mollohan, Linda Cutright, Lisa Gianettino, Violet Mossor, Al Collins Christine Post, BrendaWells, Leslie Sims, Patsy Bee, Karen Branham, Drema Starkey, Lauriel Edwards, Tom Yencha, Debbie Richards
Absent: Doc Moore
Guest: Bob Morgenstern AFT-WV
Bob Morgenstern, Director of Higher Education AFT-WV, spoke about the union being a voluntary membership. It would work with the ACCE to advance higher education and provide representation. Dues are $218 per year. Bob gave staff council brochures if anyone is interested.
Very Special Arts Festival needs volunteers for May 24 when they will be on our campus.
Approval of minutes as corrected. Violet motioned and Pat seconded.
BOA The Paramedic Science Degree has been suspended. A new degree in multi-craft technology will replace it this fall. RBA is moving to WVUP soon. An automotive and emergency medical certificate is being considered for our campus.
ACCE is sponsoring a leadership conference in June.
Donuts/coffee service is just breaking even or losing as much as $30 a month. Will consider moving are eliminating at next meeting.
Staff Appreciation Week committee received $100 for President Gnage.
Next meeting is scheduled for May 25th at JCC.
