Master Plan. President Gnage reported that the Comprehensive Master Plan was almost complete. It has been posted on the web site for review. It should be approved by the WVU Board of Governors and the Council for Community and Technical Colleges next spring.
Institution Compact. Dr. Badgley provided copies of the latest update to Council members and they reviewed and discussed each of the goals and progress being made regarding each goal. President Gnage added that the Compact is very important because it is what the WV Council for Community and Technical Colleges uses to determine tuition increases and other important decisions for the college. She requested that each area represented at Planning Council review the strategies and possibly come up with new strategies that will provide an opportunity for Planning Council to look at how goals of our Compact can be accomplished in our planning for next year.

President Gnage added that additional professional development for faculty is needed to embrace adjunct faculty and this should be #1 on our list. She emphasized how important it is to discuss ways we can address adjuncts. Other issues she suggested to be discussed further include:
§ Esthetically pleasing – need to continue
· Look at Enrollment management.
· Diversify how we get funding.
· What can we do specifically to cause things to happen?
· Need some place on our campus for adjuncts to meet students – space has been identified. President Gnage, Joe Badgley and Dave White will discuss possibilities.
· Review what may work.
· See how soon to get it up
· Make some In-Service orientation mandatory.
· Look at what we do at In-Services.
With no further business to be discussed the meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Patsy J. Bee
Executive Secretary to the President
