Planning Council

November 11, 2005

President’s Conference Room

Those present were: Joe Badgley, Pam Braden, Dan Williamson, Curt Fulmer, Connie Dziagwa, Tom Yencha, David Cumberledge, David White, and Patsy Bee.

President Gnage called the meeting to order and presented Council members with the agenda.  The first item of discussion was:

Outcomes Assessment

President Gnage noted that the outcomes assessment report needs to be revised and put into brochure format.  She will work with Curt to have something in place by March for this academic year.

Review of the Following Sub-Plans

Ø      Academic Plan.  Council reviewed copies of the Academic Plan and noted some changes in formatting would be made.

Ø      Enrollment Management Plan. The Enrollment Management Plan was reviewed and will soon be finalized. 

Ø      Technology Plan.  It was noted that the Technology Plan needs to have a section on telecommunications.

President Gnage requested that sub-plans should be finalized and submitted to her to be incorporated into a draft of the Facilities Master Plan .

Other

Council members reviewed the Strategic Plan Goals.  President Gnage requested that Council members review goals and objectives with their areas.  She requested feedback on the need to revise or change the objectives in order to meet goals.

Progress is being made on the Facilities Master Plan.  President Gnage is working with Rob Moyer and Lynette Jones from WVU on the specifics of writing the plan.    A draft should be ready by early next year.

The next Planning Council meeting will be scheduled in January.  Council members will be notified of meetings dates scheduled for the Spring semester.
