Payroll
Deduction Winner.
Pat Mollohan has won her choice of a
NASCAR trailer rig or official pit cap. Both have been personally
autographed by Jeff Gordon. Each item is valued at over $25. November’s prize will also be a NASCAR item. More than $900 in
prizes have been awarded to payroll deductees in the last 11 months.
Payroll deduction forms are available at the Foundation Office or by
calling 424-8340. The program is a wonderful way to support the
proposed Child Development Center.

League of Women Voters of West Virginia will be presenting a film

Missing
Keys. An extra set
of keys for a state car is missing. The keys, for the newest
Ford Fusion in the college's vehicle fleet, have been missing since
last week. If you have used a state car in the past week,
please check to see if you have the keys and return them to the
Business Office.

Heart
Walk Challenge.
I would like to challenge all faculty and staff to donate $2 to the
American Heart Association Heart Walk. This is a wonderful event in
which WVU Parkersburg has participated in the past, and we want this
year to be a success as well. Please bring your donations to the
Health and Wellness Center or join us walking on Oct. 7, 2007 at
Parkersburg City Park. Thanks to all in advance!

Relay
for Life Project. The WVU Parkersburg Relay for Life Team
is holding a raffle for a WVU Longaberger basket which includes a
T-shirt, hat, tote bag, travel mug, golf towel, and bottle koozie.

National
Hispanic Heritage Month.
Sept. 15 through Oct. 15,
2007, has been designated as National Hispanic Heritage Month by
President Bush. A 44-minute film, "Hispanic Americans: One or Many
Cultures?" will be shown in the theatre at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct.
1, as part of the Social Justice Awareness Film Series in observance
of National Hispanic Heritage Month.

A bake sale and silent auction to benefit the American Heart

Grantwriting
Workshop.
Katrina Brown of the Washington DC office of the

Hot Water.
You may have noticed there is no hot water on campus. A coil needs
to be replaced in the college's hot water system and a
specially-built one has been ordered and is expected here Oct. 1.

Casino Night.
Staff Council invites you to attend its annual Casino Night, to be
held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, October 12. Advanced tickets will go on
sale shortly at $5 per ticket, which at the door will be redeemed
for $10,000 in funny money (or what we like to call Marie Bucks!) If
you wait and purchase tickets at the door, they will be $5 for
$5,000. Proceeds benefit the Children of Classified Staff
Scholarship Fund.
