Foundation
Center Information Sessions.
WVU Parkersburg's Library
will hold information sessions on the Foundation Center
Cooperative Collection on Thursday 3 April at 7PM and Saturday 5
April at 10AM. The sessions will be held in the library. The
presentation includes a demonstration of the Foundation Center
Directory Online, a database of 80,000 foundations and ½ million
grants. The sessions are free and open to the public. For

Scam
Email. A fake email, claiming to originate from the
WVU Credit Union, is circulating. The subject line of the email
reads CONGRATULATIONS!!! and promises $100 if the recipient
completes a customer satisfaction survey. The email directs the
reader to a bogus website in an apparent attempt to gather
personal financial information for identity theft. If you
receive this email, do not follow the instructions. Delete the
email. The WVU Credit Union does not contact members through

The Distinguished Performance Series
will present The Acting Company, performing "Moby Dick,
Rehearsed" by Orson Welles, on Tuesday, March 18 at 7 PM in the
College Activities Center. In this dramatic production, Welles
brings Herman Melville's classic novel to life, drawing a
parallel between Captain Ahab and King Lear.

The campus community is encouraged to
attend a free presentation and discussion with Dr. David S.
Patterson centered on his most recently published book, "The
Search for Negotiated Peace: Women's Activism and Citizen
Diplomacy in World War I," on Wednesday, March 12, at 11:00 a.m.
in the college theatre. Dr. Patterson is coming here from Chevy
Chase, MD, to be with us for this observance of Women’s History
Month. This event is open to the public.

A reminder that the Daylight Savings Time clock

Free FBI Agent Film.
A film entitled "G-man:
Making of an FBI Agent" will be shown to the campus community in the
Theatre on Monday, March 10, 11 am - noon. Refreshments will be
served. A door prize will be awarded to a student who is present at
the end of the film. The event is sponsored by Career Services. TIP:
An FBI agent does not have to be a criminal justice major or have

SWAT On Campus.
The Parkersburg SWAT
team and Eastwood VFD will be on campus from 5-9 p.m., March 25th
during spring break to conduct a
scenario. The activities will identify response issues and help the
SWAT team/fire department better protect the campus. Faculty and
staff will receive an email with more details closer to the date.

Film.
The film "Iron Jawed Angels" will be
shown in the college Theatre from 11
a.m. to 1:04 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4.
The film tells the true story of how
activists Alice Paul and Lucy Burns took
the women's suffrage movement by storm,
putting their lives at risk to help
American women win the right to vote.
The unrated film is sponsored by the
Social Justice Committee in observance
of Women's History Month. You are
invited to bring your lunch. Sign-in
