WVU Parkersburg Health-Related Services
Effective with the Fall 2007 semester, the college’s Health Services’ Office will provide the following coordination/services for the institution and its campus community via the college Health and Wellness coordinator:
- First responder support
- Coordination of health care services, including the coordination of training for first responders and other training that provides first-line support in medical emergencies.
- Coordination of the availability of inoculations, skin tests (such as for TB), etc. with outside providers
- Coordination with students, faculty and staff in the Health Sciences Division to promote campus wellness activities, student organizations, other community based organizations.
- Development/implementation of a health/wellness education program for the institution
- Coordination of a health fair for the campus community
The office will no longer dispense over-the-counter medications.
