Secret
Pal Program.
The Secret Pal program will begin a new year
on June 11, 2007. Everyone is welcome to join the fun of giving and
receiving gifts. It is an opportunity to give and bring a smile to a
co-worker. The secret pal sign up form is on the Staff Council web
page or you can get the form from Violet (Room 1107). If you would
like to participate, turn the form into Violet Mosser by June 8,

Summer
Deferred Payment Program deadline approaching.
The first
deadline for applying for the Summer Deferred Payment Program (SDPP)
is approaching. Employees whose first annual contract paycheck is
issued on July 16, Aug. 1 or Aug. 16 need to apply for the program
by June 1 if they wish to participate in the summer of 2008.

Payroll
Deduction Winner. Cathy Mutz has won a membership in the
National Muffler Car Care Club valued at $89.95. It will save her
$433 on car maintenance, including four free oil changes, wiper
blades, a wheel alignment and discounts on brakes, her car's exhaust
system and other services. Payroll deduction enrollment forms
are available in the Business Office and the Foundation Office.

Recognition Brunch. Retiring faculty and staff with a
combined 175 years of service were among those honored at the annual
Employee Recognition Brunch.

Madame
Sheng Honored. At Florida Southern College's recent
Commencement, Madame Shao Fang Sheng received an
honorary degree, a doctorate of art. The renowned painter,
musician, educator and former apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright is an
alumna of FSC, where she studied music and art. She has also

Pinning
Ceremonies. On Friday (May 11), nursing candidates
for graduation will participate in the college's annual Pinning
ceremonies at 7 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. Featured speaker
will be Kathryn Decker, vice president of patient care services,

Lunch
Orders. WVU Parkersburg's Relay for Life team will take
orders this week for lunch for Monday May 7 and Wednesday May 9 when
the cafeteria is closed. Monday's menu is pepperoni rolls at
$1.50 each in your choice of plain, hot pepper cheese and American
cheese. Wednesday's menu is subs and you may choose from ham and
cheese w/chips, Italian sub w/chips, veggie sub w/chips, and turkey
sub w/chips at $3.50. We will accept orders through Friday May 4 at
4pm. Please give your orders to any Relay team member. Proceeds

Travel
Reminder. As of May 1, 2007, anyone without a driver's safety
training card will not be allowed to check out a state fleet car or
be reimbursed for travel expenses. You also need to have your budget
code when making the request. To receive a driver card, complete the
WVU Environmental Health and Safety Driver's Safety Training and
mail your certificate of completion to Michelle Bissell. For more
