The deadline for Graduate
Tuition Waiver application (Fall 2007) is quickly approaching. For

Information Session.
The Library will hold an
information session on the Foundation Center grant collection on
Wednesday, 11 July at 7PM. The program includes a demonstration of
the Foundation Center online database of funding sources. The

Audio
conference on Asperger's Syndrome. The campus Disability
Services Office staff will participate in an
audio conference on
Asperger’s Syndrome from noon to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday (June 27) in
the dean's conference room. Asperger’s Syndrome is a type of
neurological disorder sometimes classified as an Autism Spectrum
Disorder. Individuals with this disorder typically have normal
intelligence and language development but also exhibit autistic-like
behaviors and impairment in social and communication skills. An
increasing number of students with this diagnosis are attending
colleges and universities across the country. Faculty and staff are
welcome to participate in this audio conference. Seating is limited;
advance registration is required. Contact

unavailable as part of the relocation of the college's alpha server.

Email Address.
The
institution's general email
(info@mail.wvup.edu) is
changing due to the college's alpha server being relocated to WVNET.
Please note that the new
college email address is
WVUPInfo@mail.wvu.edu.
The graphics department will begin transitioning publications
(brochures, catalog, letterhead, etc.) to reflect the new
address. The college web site's numerous pages will be updated

Grant-Writing
Workshop on Campus. Please plan to attend a
hands-on grant writing workshop offered on campus Friday, July 20th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 0414A. Workshop leader is Vicki Elkins, a new WVU Parkersburg
faculty member in the Education Division, who has written numerous
successful grants during her career in higher education. Among the
topics to be covered are:
- Reviewing a variety of grants offered in
higher education;
- Reading RFPs and learning how to answer
questions appropriately;
- Practicing writing need statements, goals,
and objectives for projects;
- Preparing outlines and content for writing
additional sections of the grant.
Grant acquisition
is a goal of President Gnage and the workshop is a step toward
achieving that goal. Questions regarding the grant writing
workshop should be directed to
Dr. Rhonda Richards at x244. Those
interested in attending should contact

x214 so there will be enough materials
for the workshop.

Webinar.
The WVU at Parkersburg Foundation
invites you to attend a Webinar to be offered in the Media Room
on Thursday, June 21st from 2:30 to 4 p.m. "Creative Brand
Building: Writing and Designing for Brand" will be presented by
Fritz McDonald, creative director of Stamats, an integrated
marketing communications company that provides strategic and
creative services to colleges and universities. If you

annual reading and scoring of the College Board's Advanced

Parkersburg to host visiting lecturer from Bulgaria.
But there is more to the story than a faculty
exchange. A group of faculty on the Parkersburg
campus has embraced "The Bulgaria Project" as an
opportunity to extend international relations to a
special, caring level.

Picture Frames Needed.
The Children's
Room is collecting picture frames of all shapes and
sizes. If you have any type or size of frame that
needs a new home, we will be glad to take it off
your hands. Bring the frames to the Children's Room
